Pricing FAQ

The fine print, in plain English

What happens when I hit my daily log limit?

Ingestion responds with 429 and a Retry-After header pointing at the next UTC midnight. The official SDKs handle it gracefully — your application never blocks or crashes because of a quota. Everything already ingested stays searchable.

How does overage work?

On paid plans, logs beyond your monthly included volume are accepted and billed in arrears at your plan's overage rate on the next invoice (the daily cap still applies). On the Free plan there's no overage — the monthly cap is a hard limit.

How do trials work?

Every paid plan includes a 14-day free trial with no credit card required — one trial per account. Add a payment method any time during the trial; you're billed only when it converts. Cancel before the trial ends and you drop back to Free with your data intact (within Free limits).

Can I switch plans or cancel any time?

Yes. Upgrades apply immediately (billed for the new period on the spot); downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the period you've already paid for — you can also pause a subscription and resume later. No lock-in, no cancellation calls.

Monthly vs. yearly billing?

Yearly billing is ten months' price for twelve months of service — two months free. You can switch cycles when changing plans; the new cycle starts with the new period.

What counts as a "log"?

One ingested event, whatever its size within reason — we don't nickel-and-dime by bytes. A structured event with twenty fields and a stack trace counts exactly like a one-line info message.

Do you offer discounts for open source or education?

Yes — open-source maintainers, students, and educators can get Team features free or heavily discounted. Contact us with a link to your project or institution.
